Applications are invited for the post of Research Associate in Bioinformatics to join a large team of bioinformaticians at the NIHR Specialist Biomedical Research Centre for Mental Health (BRC-MH). The BRC-MH, funded by the National Institute for Health Research, undertakes translational research into mental health disorders. The candidate will perform translational bioinformatics research of an international standard using expression profiling, genomics, proteomics and other approaches to describe disease mechanisms of mental health disorders as well as identify biomarkers of progression, disease and treatment response. A requirement will be to develop a service by applying cutting edge as well as developing novel bioinformatic approaches as part of a collaborative team.
Detail The successful candidate will ideally have a relevant PhD and a proven track record of bioinformatics research.
The appointment will be made at Grade 6, currently £31,020 – £33,884 per annum, plus £2,323 per annum London Allowance.
